A Tribute

A Tribute

In this life, we will be repeatedly introduced to goodbyes and to farewells. I have once again said goodbye to people I have worked with, to people I have formed friendships and bonds with. No matter how small a deal you make of it, it really, actually isn't.

And so as I move on with the next chapter of my life, I would like to pay tribute and give thanks to the people who made my 10 months and 7 days in YEHEY! absolutely memorable.

First and foremost, I would like to thank my boss, Kevin for allowing me the opportunity to work for a household name such as YEHEY! Thank you for your belief in me. I wish the company all the best. God bless!

...to Andrew for teaching me that it is possible to achieve something as long as your work your way to it. If you can lose a significant amount of pounds by working hard on it, then I'm sure I also can. God bless you and your family in the U.K. You are very blessed to be able to work there!

...to Lors who is now in China. I can't even begin to let you know how much a joy it was to work in YEHEY! with you around. I miss you so much! There's so many good and cheerful memories that come up to the surface when I think about you. Come back to Manila na!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...to Carla who I thought was going to be quieter than Lors. Teehee! I just don't know but I immediately clicked with you. I'll miss our 7-11 days, gym trips and most especially your high-pitched "Huh?!?" or almost squealing "Huwat?!" I can almost hear you say those expressions just by typing them. Hehe! Can't wait to hang out with you and the rest of the bunch again!

...to Iggy who is now also moving on with his career. (I hope I didn't influence you in any way though) I will be missing your occasional emails regarding the latest web sites that are either fun or lewd in whatever manner as well as your regular Photoshop spoofs of the people in the office. I will definitely miss a lot about you. YEHEY! will not be the same without you, that's for sure.

...to Jay for being da man when it comes to doing mock-ups and websites. You are truly an inspiration to me. Keep honing your talent and don't be ever complacent with it. Your eye for photography will take you places. God bless you bro. May you live out a good testimony for others to see.

...to Bert for helping me out from the most trivial of things like giving me updates on the status of the peso vs. the dollar to the most important like giving me advices on relationships.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...to Peachy who has always been a patron of the breakfast club. ^_^ I will miss your occasional "birit" while you have your headphones on, oblivious to the operatic performance you are already subjecting us to.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...to Daryl for being the most reliable source of chismax in the office. I know it's your job to know those bits of information but your impeccable recall really is something. Thank you for refreshing my memory on the Batibot song about a carabao named "Puti". =)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...to Lasz for helping me out in whatever way he can---may it be from finishing that 6-letter word in Text Twist or explaining to me how certain effects are accomplished in photography. I shall miss your riddles, your random quips about the most random of things. God bless in all the things that you do.

...to Joe. We go a long way back. Even if we never had the chance to really work together, I thank you for all the times that you let me hitch a ride. Even when we were co-workers, I still had to hitch a ride with you going home! Hehehe! Take care of yourself, dude! Thanks for everything!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...to Kankan for being such a good friend. Always guard your heart and yourself. I have drawn inspiration from you before and I still do. No matter what comes in life, I know you'll be able to get through it. Thank you for teaching me that.

...to Jeff for being one of the most simple people in the office. I salute you for being able to stand for what you believe in and for using your talents to inspire others to do the same. I will be working on my moves and when that day comes that you decide to teach us a whole dance routine, I'll be ready.

...to Kinney for being one of the most friendliest faces in the office. Even as an intern, you were always so nice to bump into. Keep that cheerful disposition that you have and always remember that being co-workers for only one day doesn't change the respect I have for you. It was great being able to talk and bond with you. Don't ever change! =>

...to Alex who was such a blast being with. You redefined "late lunch". I hope you're doing well, wherever you may be. Godspeed!

...to Tomy for being such a quiet and calm person around boisterous people. Thank you for teaching me how to resize a picture in photoshop, for sharing your food with me, for accompanying me to 7-11 for the occasional afternoon Peanut ice cream snack we have to being a teammate in our weekly basketball club. God bless you in your work. Your kindness was always evident ever since. May you continue to live a Christian life for Him.

These last few thank yous will be for the people who have dearly affected my life in YEHEY! Without them I would have not survived both in the literal and figurative sense. These are the people closest to my heart---the ones I trust without abandon. The ones I would kill and maim for.

...to Maan who has been my friend for more than 6 years. She has become a witness to everything from my college crushes to my smoking years and most recently my brush with alcohol overdose (which I hope will never happen again) Hehe! You have been such an inspiration and a wonderful example of how it is to lead. Your simultaneous calmness and tenacity has been my guide for the past 10 months. You are one of the biggest reasons why I was able to stay in YEHEY! You are the reason why I believe in the goodness of people despite the contradictory examples all around us. You will always be one of my most treasured friends and I will always remember YEHEY! not because of our COO or the culture, but because of you. God bless you always, my friend. :)

...to Hazel who was an instrumental force in my days of despair. I never thought people would care for me without asking anything in return. You have always looked out for me and have always wanted what's best for me. You have been a witness to my struggles and my failures in the matters of the heart and have always reminded me to take it slow---that someone, someday will come. I really do believe you when you say those things and it's true when I say you are like my mother because you have taken good care of me. The random offers of food is enough to make me smile! Thanks for the two Chuckie drinks you recently bought me. You are one of a kind, Hazel! I am honored to even be in your circle of friends.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

...to Nannah who has been one of the good constants in my tenure in YEHEY! Each and every day, working becomes so much more bearable when I hear you blurt out something really funny. You have surprised me in more ways than one and I cannot even begin to stress how much I will miss your companionship and your wisdom. You have taught me a lot about myself and have given me compliments to last me a lifetime. For that, I will never be able to repay you but know that I will always be here for you. You are such a wonderful and beautiful person, Nannah. Always remember that.

...and last but not the least, Juli. It only seems yesterday that I saw you going towards Kevin's office for your interview. Now it seems that we've become best friends. Your demeanor instantly broke down my shell and I knew after your interview with me while I was sitting in Greg's seat, I could be comfortable with you. Thank you so much for all the advices, for all the time you spent listening to my dilemma and for trying so hard to keep your promises to me. Your kindness is something that I have never known before. I will always keep praying for you, Juli. I meant it that I do want to be able to see your smile when I go to Heaven. I will never ever forget you. I may forget the things you've said to my but what I've felt in the comfort of your friendship, I will never ever forget.
